' Let it Snow....Let it Snow.... ,

Snow fell expectedly this week, creating a white blanket all over the country. What I like about snow is, it almost makes everything look equal. It makes me think of how, for this one instance, almost everything is dressed in the same white canvas, as if reminding us, we're all in the same home under one roof. It creates a sense of togetherness and wonder.
Did you know : Snow is made up of many many fragile tiny symmetrical snowflakes. Almost each one of them is perfectly symmetrical - which makes it even more beautiful knowing this...

Read more about the chemistry of snowflake here - you'll learn a few intriguing things =P.

Surrey was greeted with heavy snow on Tuesday this week.
The day after it was reported 4-7 inches of snow fell in that region! Unfortunately, I couldn't make my way there to capture more pictures.

I can't stop feeling anything but mesmerised watching trees gracefully carrying snow on their branches.

This came out blurry but I had to put this here because it's one of my favourite pictures taken.

Festive trees!

The best picture I was able to capture.

London welcomed heavy snowfall the next day....!

A children's playground.

A festive hut by the riverside.

One of the Xmas huts by the riverside selling knits. Looking cosy..... I can imagine working there sipping a hot chocolate...

Choosing some Ear muffs =P - I got 2 ear muffs from here.

Ear muffs are a must have accessory this winter! Very cold ears can hurt... so unless you have a hoody, a thick scarf or a snood, invest in some fluffy ear muffs for this winter and future ones to come by.
3 of my ear muffs are featured below.

More festive huts aligned alongside the river Thames.

These apples were delicious but costly... so as a one-off treat =P I say... go for it!

Picnic in the snow? ^.^

Or maybe some coffee overlooking the riverside?

Glimpse of a park covered in snow.

Covent Garden was greeted with snow...

And that's all about it! Hope you enjoyed browsing through those pictures!

Westfield Sparkles!

Yesterday I visited Westfield at White City, Shepherd's Bush. It boasted magnificent festive lights, a jolly crowd, cheerful atmosphere ....
My visit there was short lived...So all the pictures you'll see below are captured within 10 minutes or less (!)

-Enjoy browsing through them!-

Approaching the shopping mall from the tube station...

Displaying beautiful arrays of festive lights. Like the design and colours used (much better than Oxford & Regent Street...who used the same Xmas display lights over 2-3 years now >.>).

Inside one of the shops.

I spotted my favourite festive treat of the season (toffee nut aside =P)... the Panettone (Italian dessert cake thing)! This was inside Waitrose.

Different varieties of Panettones inside Waitrose were displayed.

A section of Westfield outside decorated with illuminating snowflakes (I think this was my favourite decorations/lights because it was so serene and breathtaking...yet also so simple).

Inside Westfield - it was like being in an igloo with all the white decorations and lights.

Can't remember the name of this shop but I liked the numerous Singer machines they used for their display. Very vintage!

I know this is potentially useless...but wouldn't you just love one of these in your room? =P

The Village is filled with designer shops, featuring all the well known names you can think of.

I spotted one of my favourite restaurants - Jom Makan! Picture is blurry because I was in a rush.

And a horrible exit at the end of the day - opting for the tube was a bad idea. The crowd was annoying. I simply cannot stand this kind of atmosphere...

My Annual Toffee Nut Habit

This week I've been keeping a close eye on Starbucks due to the fact that they're launching their red festive cups soon. And so they did release their red cups finally! I'm so excited...

Featuring the Eggnog (I haven't tried this) & Gingerbread latte (this is okay, but not my favourite)

And here featuring the Peppermint Mocha (I'm curious!) &...........
....THE TOFFEE NUT LATTE!
That totally sounded like a catwalk. The return of the cups in red! Ha...

The toffee nut latte has been my favourite coffee beverage for years! I'm addicted to it's toffee and nut taste... the combination goes so well together. I wish Starbucks made this the whole year round or had syrups I could buy.
I almost always get mine with cream on top. And of course, I get the skinny latte....which...you simply wouldn't guess it's skinny because it tastes so good.
I can't resist but get a Grande in size at least....just yummmy....simply yummy...
And today it cured my headache (aaahh =P).............................................

STEP 1
- Optional: Ensure your latte skinny & at least Grande.
- That will be £3 for the grande.
- Say yes to cream on top (Starbucks' cream is the best!).
- Wait for approximately 5 minutes (depends on how long the queue is).
- Grab your cup and head to a table. Open the cover...

STEP 2
- Add sweeteners rather than sugar to your cup of toffee nut latte.
- This will save you some calories.
- I recommend adding 3-4 sachets to a grande cup. Might as well make it worth it by making it sweet!

STEP 3:
- Add sweetener on top of cream.

STEP 4:
- Stir thoroughly....

STEP 5:
- Close the to of the cup.
- And DRINK!
- Enjoy!
