' Let it Snow....Let it Snow.... ,

Snow fell expectedly this week, creating a white blanket all over the country. What I like about snow is, it almost makes everything look equal. It makes me think of how, for this one instance, almost everything is dressed in the same white canvas, as if reminding us, we're all in the same home under one roof. It creates a sense of togetherness and wonder.
Did you know : Snow is made up of many many fragile tiny symmetrical snowflakes. Almost each one of them is perfectly symmetrical - which makes it even more beautiful knowing this...

Read more about the chemistry of snowflake here - you'll learn a few intriguing things =P.

Surrey was greeted with heavy snow on Tuesday this week.
The day after it was reported 4-7 inches of snow fell in that region! Unfortunately, I couldn't make my way there to capture more pictures.

I can't stop feeling anything but mesmerised watching trees gracefully carrying snow on their branches.

This came out blurry but I had to put this here because it's one of my favourite pictures taken.

Festive trees!

The best picture I was able to capture.

London welcomed heavy snowfall the next day....!

A children's playground.

A festive hut by the riverside.

One of the Xmas huts by the riverside selling knits. Looking cosy..... I can imagine working there sipping a hot chocolate...

Choosing some Ear muffs =P - I got 2 ear muffs from here.

Ear muffs are a must have accessory this winter! Very cold ears can hurt... so unless you have a hoody, a thick scarf or a snood, invest in some fluffy ear muffs for this winter and future ones to come by.
3 of my ear muffs are featured below.

More festive huts aligned alongside the river Thames.

These apples were delicious but costly... so as a one-off treat =P I say... go for it!

Picnic in the snow? ^.^

Or maybe some coffee overlooking the riverside?

Glimpse of a park covered in snow.

Covent Garden was greeted with snow...

And that's all about it! Hope you enjoyed browsing through those pictures!

London's Park Plaza Riverbank - The Club Lounge

The Park Plaza describes its Club Lounge restaurant as the following...

'The Club Lounge serves a modern European menu with dishes to suit all tastes. It also features expertly prepared daily specials and children's meals.'

The menu featured rich exquisite filling dishes - some of which, I have never heard of before!

My starter was a simple mini seeded bun with butter.

Drinks ordered were the Virgin Mojito & Virgin Momo. Yummmy....! I simply can't get enough of these... particularly the Virgin Momo...

Onion rings was my side dish. Slightly salty, but otherwise, the texture was great - soft inside and lightly crispy on the outside. Not so greasy as well =)...

My main dish was the 'Wild Mushroom tortellini with spinach and vanilla cream sauce'. This was delicious! I'll be keeping a lookout for any restaurants that cook this dish. It's my new favourite pasta dish... very filling, satisfying and yummmmy!! (It took me by surprise...!)

This was the 'Prawn & Crab cocktail with mango, avocado, tomato & melba toast' starter....mmm...

And finally, this is the 'Catch of the Day - Pan fried fillet of Salmon served with mash potatoes, baby carrots, spinach & bearnaise sauce'; elegantly presented and simply delicious.

London's Park Plaza Riverbank - The Bar

The Bar featured some amazing Virgin cocktails. To take a 360 room tour of the bar, click here.

Some treats that came along with the drinks.
From left to right: Pickled mix of Olives & Peppers, Chilli Rice Crackers & Some pretzels/mini crackers.

The Virgin Mojito tasted very nice! It had a surprise blend... the mint went very well with all the other ingredients used in this drink. Very refreshing...!

I ordered the Virgin Momo, which now remains my favourite cocktail drink. The peach in this and whatever else they've added made it taste so exotic - i like...! (So I ordered it again at the restaurant =P).

London's Park Plaza Riverbank - The Executive Room

A weekend retreat at the Riverbank Park Plaza was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G....!

The Executive Room was beautiful, grand, luxurious and modern.

Above all, the view of London was breathtaking............................!
This was just one view from a part of the window.

Leaflets & booklets packed with all the information needed lay around the room....

A business & a fashion magazine were displayed on a table.

Liking the design of the carpet - giving a homely feel with its scribbles scattered on the floor.

The bathroom presented with the daily necessities.

Some self-made English Traditional Afternoon Tea =)

And these arrived at the door - Gifts from the hotel....
