What's in my bag?

I didn't know what else to call this blog post. Initially, I thought of using the word 'handbag' - but it's not my handbag. Then I thought, 'make-up' or 'toiletry' bag - but both didn't quite fit in with the bag's contents.
Now more the the point.

I'm a person who likes keeping everything organised. And because I hate the notion of scattered things in handbags, I usually have one of these mini bags to put all my necessities in. This also makes changing handbags a lot easier!

This came along with the purchase of a perfume.

SO, what do I carry? Well, actually I don't carry as much as I used to before. I sorted out all the necessities from the junks and here they all are.

A mini Nina Ricci perfume
- because I'm obsessed with perfumes and I adore this scent!

A hand sanitiser
- because this is vital - no more said!

A pick and mix of my favourite lip balms
- because I like selecting which one I will put on, depending on my mood. I have a couple of lip balms and will blog about them all in future.
- and because nothing beats Burt's Bees' Lip balm! It's my favourite.

A creamy Clinique lipstick
- my favourite lipstick. It's so neutral, creamy and suits all occasions. (I've blogged about this before =P)

A Lip gloss & a Harajuku solid perfume
- I don't use this lip gloss so much. As for the solid perfume - it's so handy!

Painkillers
- you never know when you might need it!

Shu Uemura Lipliner
- another thing that is rarely used, but I carry it, just in case.

A pen set
- I have to carry something to write with me everywhere I go. It's something essential.

A collection of chewing gums & mints
- essentials!

Tissues
- I can't leave the house without these.

A mirror
- again, you never know when you might need one!

--------------

I went to Snog yoghurt.
Again.
My excuse: I was treated to it. =P.

This time I indulged in the Apple Crumble. Incredibly delicious. Highly Recommend.
It'll spoil you rotten.

I tasted a bit of the fruit smoothie, but didn't quite like it so much. Though it'll be a good treat for the summers.

And then, I got this take away bag - which is so handy...
...way to encourage me to take away yoghurts...!!

It has a special lining inside to keep all desserts cool =), and cool it is!

' Moschino Couture! , ... and ... ' Gucci Rush ,

MOSCHINO Couture!

I've had Moschino's Couture! for about a year and a half now. It's one of those scents which I can spray on any time whatever mood I'm in - which has been really handy because there have been many moments where I felt so picky over scents. During those times, my hand would usually reach over to Moschino's perfume...

I'm surprised there is a lot left in the bottle because I felt like I've been using this a lot!

I have to say, I'm very disappointed upon hearing several news saying this perfume might have been discontinued (hopefully that's not true!).

As you'll scroll down, you'll notice I've taken (way too) many pictures of this perfume. In addition to practising my 'capturing of detail ' skills, I really like the bottle and thought it would be a nice idea to practise expressing creativity through it.

The scent...
.... is amazing! Most of the time, I settle for light, musky scents which stay on for a long enough time. Moschino delivers that so well. Its reminds me of that lightness & hint of mild sweet dewyness fresh after-smell one is left with after a shower, or after washing one's hands. For this reason, I find it a wonderful perfume to spray on sparingly on your hair (I wouldn't recommend spraying directly on to your hair!).

What I also like about this is it strangely also manages to be slightly 'fizzy' & spicy. You'd think the combination of notes in this perfume wouldn't work... but as I was... prepare to be surprised!

I have a feeling this is one perfume that might not suit all and it depends on how well this blends in our skins - on my skin, it's perfect, it gives off a truly one-of-a-kind personal scent and I like the fact that this chemistry works out.
I would classify this as a casual scent, verging on formal...

I am MOSCHINO Couture!

My golden heart is my hat & my ribbon is my scarf...

My ribbon = a truly chic statement.
Afterall....Bows and ribbons are some of the designs Moschino is known for.

Peer right through me....

Ribbon: 'All eyes on me...'

Bottle: 'Count me in.'

The Original

GUCCI RUSH

I was given this fragrance a few years ago and initially, I enjoyed wearing it. It has a distinct exotic scent, with a citrussy-sharp-but-sweet-flowery scent (if you can imagine that!) that oozes a rush to one's senses. This is bursting to fill one's senses with so many sharp scents. So unsurprisingly, it's refreshing.

Some of the notes that make up this fragrance are:
Bergamot, Peony and Freesia, Middle notes of Violet,Jasmine and Carnation and Base notes of Orris Sandalwood and Vetiver

However, after continuously using this fragrance... I started to notice that it lost its appeal to me. I found out I couldn't wear this whenever I had a headache or felt ill.
It's a friendly casual fragrance but I wouldn't say it's anything special.

To me, a truly special fragrance is one which appeals to you just as well as the first time you sprayed it on.

The rich red colour of the bottle creates that look which makes it live up to its name - Rush.

Toujours Glamour by Moschino

Toujours Glamour by Moschino is a wonderful easy going casual wear fragrance aimed at those who love citrus based scents or lily of the valley.

The top notes are (what I make out to be)...a mix of lime, lemon & strong dominant notes of lily of the valley.
After it settles, you can just about make out a jasmine scent (it would have been better if they strengthened the jasmine concentration in this perfume as jasmine usually stays for a long period of time!), a hint of bitter note lurking somewhere, cardamom spice... I think that sums up the scent of this perfume...(not particularly interesting, which is why I'd label it casual).

You would most likely need top ups for this perfume as the staying power isn't great - I'd say it'll last you 4-5 hours. I just realised it's an Eau de Toilette, so perhaps that's why!

My final verdict: Let's just say the bottle is better than the scent =P

The original perfume is better (in my opinion) but this version gives it a good spicy twist...
...Fruity, musky & bitter!
