Yesterday I visited Westfield at White City, Shepherd's Bush. It boasted magnificent festive lights, a jolly crowd, cheerful atmosphere ....
My visit there was short lived...So all the pictures you'll see below are captured within 10 minutes or less (!)
-Enjoy browsing through them!-
Approaching the shopping mall from the tube station...
Displaying beautiful arrays of festive lights. Like the design and colours used (much better than Oxford & Regent Street...who used the same Xmas display lights over 2-3 years now >.>).
I spotted my favourite festive treat of the season (toffee nut aside =P)... the Panettone (Italian dessert cake thing)! This was inside Waitrose.
A section of Westfield outside decorated with illuminating snowflakes (I think this was my favourite decorations/lights because it was so serene and breathtaking...yet also so simple).
Inside one of the shops.

Inside Westfield - it was like being in an igloo with all the white decorations and lights.
Can't remember the name of this shop but I liked the numerous Singer machines they used for their display. Very vintage!
I know this is potentially useless...but wouldn't you just love one of these in your room? =P
The Village is filled with designer shops, featuring all the well known names you can think of.
I spotted one of my favourite restaurants - Jom Makan! Picture is blurry because I was in a rush.
And a horrible exit at the end of the day - opting for the tube was a bad idea. The crowd was annoying. I simply cannot stand this kind of atmosphere...

anya
arent the singer's amazing!!! my grandparents had one just like those ones. I asked my sister for it last month but it's gone in the bin, it was true vintage haha. Im getting my mum a not so nice looking singer for xmas :) damn plastic :(
that's in "all saints" btw.
ooo i was gonna ask you, have u used lush's big shampoo? I saw it and was wondering if you had used/reviewed it. Seems interesting but im not sure if i should give it a go or not.
xx
The Singers make me want to learn how to stitch! I remember having an original in the past but not sure where it is now =(
They make plastic ones now?? Noo... =/... that sucks...
And I haven't tried Lush's Big Shampoo! Liquid shampoos in Lush are the only products I haven't really tried and tested as much as their other products.
The only liquid shampoo I tried was 'Rehab' and it's amazing - you can feel it leaving your scalp squeaky clean.
However, I did look on Lush's site for Big Shampoos review and... it looks very very convincing... People who tried it comment on how it improved the volume of their hair...

Talking about very vintage sewing machines, trust me they are still very common in our part of the world, (India, Pakistan etc.). You can get a new similar looking machine from Singer or many other companies around, with almost the same look as in one of your pictures :P
Actually, that is true... I noticed that some countries still have the old (real!) Singer machines ...!
It's disappointing that some countries have decided to make it more commercial now. Why decrease a Singer's specification and make it plastic?? =/
That would mean consumers are buying the product for its name more rather than buying it for its true value/specs.
westfields looks so cool, ive heard its worth checking out, i love ur pics =) my sister was telling me just yesterday about the singer display in all saints! looks awesomeee, though she saw it in the manchester shop
i have a singer sewing machine [one of the newer ones] but im on the look out to buy an old one just to have as a vintage keepsake =)
Aisha - thanks ^.^
it looks like there's a lot among us on the hunt for a true vintage Singer machine! Would be awesome to have one, even for keepsake only
Hahaha, guys if you are that interested, I can send few from Pakistan :D
